Harvest Homes is the Busy Straw Bale Division of Evolve Builders Group.

Harvest Homes service area includes Guelph & the Tri-Cities (Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge), the Counties of Wellington, Grey, Bruce, and Simcoe, the town of Caledon, Georgian Bay and Muskoka region. For good people and interesting projects we have also happily traveled to straw bale projects in London, Essex, Niagara Region and the GTA.

Because of our extensive field experience, Harvest Homes receives many inquiries. If you are contacting us for the first time, please consider completing our Preliminary Checklist below. This will help us to provide timely and complete information in response.

  • When would you like construction to: a) begin and b) finish
  • What is your motivation for using straw-bale construction?
  • Describe desired sq feet, # of bedrooms & bathrooms or as any other defining functions that are applicable
  • Describe any particular construction techniques, materials or systems (natural or conventional) that you wish to incorporate in your project. Examples: ICF (insulating concrete form) foundation, earth/clay plaster, cob walls, clay floors, hydronic/radiant heat, etc.
  • What is your budget range inclusive of excavation, structure, finishes, mechanicals, utility services (as applicable) but exclusive of plans, permit & development fees, landscaping or outbuildings.
  • At what level, if at all, do you wish to participate in the actual "hands-on" straw-bale construction work?
